Gratitude Journal – Day 253 – March 11, 2015

Missing a day -
her commitment…she began to feel bad, not for herself, but for the commitment she felt she had missed. The commitment – to share her gratitude every day since he left this big blue and green ball of ours. She woke the next morning, only to realize she had missed a day.
… or had she? Still she woke and greeted him as she made her way down the hall, wondering what adventures he would encounter today on the streets of gold. As she waited for the elevator, a kind woman she met a few years prior asked her if the music was still playing. She smiled as she thought for a moment, then looked up at her and said ‘yes, it does still play.’
And this morning as I take a sip of coffee and a deep breath of love, I write of yesterday’s, today’s and tomorrow’s gratitude that myDarlin’s music still plays in my heart. And for a moment, as I regret missing writing yesterday, I feel his hand on mine saying, ‘look up and see what I see. Every little thing’s gonna be alright.’ Mahalo myDarlin’ Robert Kenui Pope, I love you.
