#KeepLookingUp
This has become my mantra for life. Over the
past days I’ve told this story so many times, but have never written it
down. As Robert & I would travel on
our little spontaneous trips and many other days on the way to various spots in
town, I am checking my email, taking a photo and posting it, checking FB, etc.
Naturally, with Robert driving, he has to keep his eye (literally one – but
that’s another story) on the road.
Robert gently placed his hand on mine and said very
tenderly, “Stop and look up, see what I am seeing.” I am grateful for Robert’s
reminder to be fully present, and to avoid so many of the distractions that
prevent us from seeing what is really important.
As I sat feet in the salt-water pool at my son Mike’s house,
with our grandchildren Nathan and Elijah, I took a photo of the sky which was
setting to a soft purple and pink. I kept trying to post onto FB, however the
app logged me out repeatedly. God’s little way of telling me that there was
another story to be told. When Mike arrived back home, he shared his story of
the same sunset to all of us here on FB and I understood why I couldn’t post my
photo.
#KeepLookingUp you’ll be amazed at what you see.
