The single yellow flower was one of my morning photos the
week before you left us myDarlin’. I was getting into my car on the way to
work, and it caught my eye from the backyard. In my heels, I trod through the
dewey, overgrown grass to take a Good Morning photo of this jewel.
The day after you left us, I walked back down to the same
spot and found that the flower was gone. I wept for you and the flower, knowing
that a beautiful part of my life was no longer there.
I walked yesterday, down to the lake in the dewey grass in
my slippers, and what do you think that I saw? Yes myDarlin’, the single yellow
flower returned, silently reminding me of the circle of life, love and hope.
I am forever grateful for eleven wonderful years with
myDarlin’ and the promise that I will see him again with trust in our Lord.
